Why We Need to Pray at Christmas
December 1st, 2010
The Bible teaches that Christians have an adversary, the devil. He is often underestimated in his power and Christians can easily fall prey if they are not alert.
This year at Metropolitan Baptist Church we have seen God work in many wonderful ways. But now is not the time to stop and enjoy the holiday season.
Indeed Christmas is the time when Christians should be hard at work. Prayer is work but a more nobler cause is hard to find.
As we draw near to the end of the year our desire should be for power to reach the lost, glorify God and worship our Saviour. Let us fall to our knees in prayer this holiday season lest we fall to our knees in repentance.
Why not join us at one of our services or outreach events this Christmas as we ‘pray without ceasing’?
