Our Heritage is worth Preserving
June 1st, 2011
It has been well said that heritage is something of value that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Throughout the ages Baptists have been persecuted and even died for their faith, yet the Baptist heritage continues today.
It is a faith founded upon the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, upon Baptism by immersion and upon the certainty that Christ will come again.
It is a heritage of value because of the price paid by our Lord Jesus Christ.
This month at Metropolitan Baptist celebrate the heritage that is ours through the faith of our fathers.
Highlights include the Ladies Retreat to Vision Valley on 24-26 June, Gospel preaching and teaching, classic hymns of the faith, youth activities and prayer and Bible studies.
Why not join us in June and learn more about our living Baptist heritage?
